Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Nautiluse Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14904815), registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom ("Nautiluse", "we"), for your use of the QuizUni app and website. By creating an account or using QuizUni you accept them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
1. Who can use QuizUni
You must be at least 13. If the law of your country requires a parent's or guardian's consent at your age, you need that consent to use QuizUni, and your parent or guardian accepts these terms on your behalf. You may hold one account, and each device can be linked to one account.
2. Your account
You sign in with Apple or Google; there is no separate password. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to the Apple or Google account you used. Your account is tied to the country chosen when it was created; questions, scoring and leaderboards follow that country's exam.
You can delete your account in the app at any time. It stays deactivated for 30 days, during which you can restore it, and is then deleted permanently. A device used by a deleted account cannot open a new account for 30 days.
3. Fair play and conduct
You agree not to:
- use bots, scripts, modified clients or any help that answers for you during a duel or room game;
- create extra accounts, share accounts, or manipulate matchmaking, leaderboards, invite codes or rewards;
- choose a username or send content that is offensive, hateful, sexual, impersonates someone or reveals another person's personal data;
- harass other players, or copy, scrape, resell or redistribute the questions;
- interfere with, reverse engineer or attack the service, except where the law allows it.
We may remove content, reset scores or rewards, and suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Where it is reasonable, we tell you why and give you a way to contact us.
4. Energy, rewards and Pro
Energy, gifts, badges, streaks and other in-app items have no cash value, cannot be transferred or sold, and may be changed as the game is balanced. Free players use energy to play duels; energy refills over time and can also be earned by watching a rewarded ad.
QuizUni Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store or Google Play. Price and period are shown before you buy. Payment is charged to your store account and the subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage and cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings; deleting the app or your QuizUni account does not cancel it. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies and your local consumer law. Pro removes ads and energy limits; it never affects leaderboard rank.
5. Ads
The free version shows ads, served by Google AdMob. How ads use your data is described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Questions and content
The app, its design, mascot and original questions belong to Nautiluse or its licensors. Some questions come from past official exams published by public authorities and are used with attribution where required. You get a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use QuizUni for your own exam preparation.
QuizUni is an independent study tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by ÖSYM, INEP, the National Testing Agency, SNPMB, the Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation, JAMB, the College Board, AQA, Pearson Edexcel, OCR, WJEC, the Kultusministerkonferenz or IQB, the French Ministry of Education or the National Center for University Entrance Examinations (大学入試センター). SAT is a trademark of the College Board; other exam names belong to their owners. We work to keep questions and solutions accurate, but they may contain errors; please report them in the app. QuizUni does not guarantee any exam result.
When you share a notebook set or other content in the app, you give us the licence needed to show it to the people you share it with.
7. Availability and changes
We may update, change or discontinue features. We try to keep QuizUni available but do not promise uninterrupted service. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect; if you keep using QuizUni afterwards, the new terms apply. If we discontinue the service, active Pro subscribers will be told in advance and refunds will be handled as the store and the law require.
8. Liability
QuizUni is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data or results, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the mandatory law of the country where you live.
9. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any problem; you may also bring a claim before the courts or consumer bodies of your country of residence where the law allows.
10. Apple
If you downloaded QuizUni from the App Store, these terms are between you and Nautiluse, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for QuizUni or its content, has no obligation to provide support or maintenance, and is not responsible for claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, except where these terms are more favourable to you.
